The Arctic comedy North of North is heading back to Netflix. Season 2 premieres worldwide on Thursday, November 5, with all eight episodes at once, and the streamer has released the official trailer. The show is Netflix's first Canadian original series, a co-production with CBC in partnership with APTN. TV Insider notes that the new season has already aired on CBC in Canada, where it debuted in September. Siaja's next chapter Anna Lambe returns as Siaja, a young Inuk mother determined to make life better for herself and everyone around her as winter settles over Ice Cove. Netflix's Tudum puts it this way: "while you can blow up your life on an impulse, building the one you want takes a little more planning and a lot more hustle." She is guided by pilimmaksarniq , the Inuktitut idea of mastering skills through observation, practice and effort. At the community centre, she pushes her boss Helen (Mary Lynn Rajskub) to give her more responsibility. At home, she is trying to learn all she can about a half-sister she never knew she had. After her divorce, she is also open to love, "or at the very least, a hot date." Through it all, she is raising her daughter Bun (Keira Belle Cooper) with her mother Neevee (Maika Harper) and her newfound father Alistair (Jay Ryan). Who's in season 2 TV Insider lists the returning cast as Lambe, Maika Harper, Braeden Clarke, Jay Ryan, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Zorga Qaunaq, Bailey Poching, Nutaaq Doreen Simmonds and Kiera Cooper. Kids in the Hall star Bruce McCulloch joins as Military Mitch, an instructor hired to teach first aid at the Ice Cove Community Centre. Inuk singer-songwriter, documentarian and activist Elisapie guest stars and debuts a new song. There are also cameos from Indigenous content creators: Ashley Callingbull, Braden Kudlun, Chelazon Leroux, Kairyn Potts, Kayuula Nova, Shina Nova and Scott Wabano.
