K-pop star Lisa of BLACKPINK releases her new EP, PRESS PLAY, on October 23, 2026. According to ADMC and Business Upturn, the six-track project comes out through her company Lloud and RCA Records, with songs in English and Thai. It is led by "SaWaDiKa", which was released on September 3. The tracklist Business Upturn reports the full tracklist: SaWaDiKa V12 COBRA TARANTINO CUT U OFF SWEAT ADMC reports that "SaWaDiKa" was produced by Thom Bridges and Ojivolta. Business Upturn says the title nods to the Thai greeting "sawatdee kha" and that the single entered the Billboard Hot 100 after its release. "Like a movie" Lisa has described PRESS PLAY as her most personal work so far. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she said the EP traces her journey "from my roots to where I am right now today", with Thai elements throughout and a distinct character for each song. "It's like a movie," she said. "So you just press play." A global rollout ADMC reports that the campaign began with "Hello สวัสดีค่ะ" billboards in Bangkok, New York, Los Angeles and Mexico City, ahead of a formal announcement on August 24. The mix of cities reflects her audience in Thailand, the US and Latin America. The bilingual approach is central to the project. Recording in English and Thai lets Lisa speak to her home audience in Thailand while keeping the global pop market in view. Acting and other projects ADMC notes that Lisa acted in the third season of The White Lotus. Business Upturn adds that PRESS PLAY follows her 2025 debut album Alter Ego and arrives during a busy period that includes her documentary Always Lalisa and an upcoming Las Vegas residency. A crowded release day The Korea Times notes that October 23 is also the release date of a new song from BABYMONSTER, in the middle of a busy month for K-pop releases. Three days later, on October 26, IVE, ILLIT and RIIZE all release new music on the same day. For Lisa, the timing places PRESS PLAY among a run of major releases, but her solo career operates on a global scale through Lloud and RCA. Her first-week streaming numbers and chart entries in the US and UK will be the key measures of the EP's success. Why it matters PRESS PLAY shows how BLACKPINK members are building separate solo careers with their own companies and international partners. Lisa's decision to centre her Thai identity in the title, the lyrics and the rollout gives the EP a clear identity in a crowded market. For more on the members, see our profiles of Lisa and Jennie .
