Canadian pop artist Lennon Stella has announced a short North American fall tour for her new album, Sleeping Lion, which comes out on October 23, 2026. According to Exclaim!, the singer from Oshawa, Ontario, will play an "up close and personal", "stripped down" set at four venues. Her Toronto date at the Paradise Theatre on October 29 is already listed as sold out on the venue's website. The tour dates The run begins in Nashville at The Blue Room on October 24, the day after the album comes out. Stella then plays LPR in New York on October 27, before returning to Canada for the Toronto show on October 29. The tour ends at Pico Union Project in Los Angeles on November 3. October 24: Nashville, TN, The Blue Room October 27: New York, NY, LPR October 29: Toronto, ON, Paradise Theatre November 3: Los Angeles, CA, Pico Union Project Presales started on September 29 at 10am local time, followed by general sales on October 2, according to Exclaim!. Toronto sells out The Paradise Theatre's listing for "Lennon Stella presents Sleeping Lion: Up Close & Personal" shows the 8pm show on Thursday, October 29, as sold out, with doors opening an hour before showtime. The event is produced externally, with Live Nation handling ticketing. A sold-out hometown-country show in a small room fits the intimate format of the tour and suggests strong demand from Canadian fans. About Sleeping Lion The venue's description of the album offers the clearest picture yet of the record. It calls Sleeping Lion Stella's second record, "but it feels like an introduction". The title's image of dormant strength, it says, summarises the journey the 27-year-old singer-songwriter has been on for six years. "This record is a return to myself in many ways," Stella says in the description. The album is described as capturing an awakening, as she embraces her own agency and explores her insecurities with empathy and curiosity. Why the format fits A stripped-down set in small venues puts the focus on voice and songwriting. For an album described as a personal awakening, that format gives fans a chance to hear the new songs close up, in rooms where the details of the writing can come through. A busy Toronto autumn Stella's tour lands during a busy period for live music in Toronto. The Secret Path 10th anniversary concert, honouring Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack, takes place in the city on October 23, the same day Sleeping Lion is released. Key facts Album: Sleeping Lion, out October 23, 2026 Description: Stella's second record, per the Paradise Theatre listing Tour format: "up close and personal", stripped-down sets (Exclaim!) An album framed as a return to herself is being introduced in small rooms, with the focus on the songs and the voice rather than on big production. The Toronto sell-out suggests that approach has already found an audience at home. For Canadian fans, the sold-out Toronto show is a reminder of the strong home support behind her. For Stella, the small-room format is a way to put the songs first. The New York, Nashville and Los Angeles dates are in similarly intimate venues, so tickets across the run are likely to be in short supply. What's next Sleeping Lion arrives on October 23, with the tour starting in Nashville the next day. With Toronto already sold out, fans elsewhere will be watching the remaining dates closely. If demand stays strong across the four shows, a wider tour in 2027 is a possibility, though none has been announced. Sources: Exclaim! | Paradise Theatre
