Preparations for this year's Made in Taadi concert are gathering pace. Highlife singer and songwriter Kofi Kinaata called on the management of MobileMoney Fintech Ltd (MMFL) at the company's head office in Accra as he gets ready for the 2026 edition, which will be held in December in Takoradi. The visit was part of a series of meetings between MMFL and key players in Ghana's creative industry. The talks focused on the links between music, technology and financial inclusion, according to The Spectator. "The association with you is very credible" MMFL's chief executive, Shaibu Haruna, received the musician and called him a credible brand whose connection with the Ghanaian public fits the company's goals. "We are proud to have you here, and for me, the association with you is very credible," he said. Haruna explained that although MMFL is mainly a technology company, its wider aim is to use technology to expand access to financial services and boost economic empowerment. Clear communication, he said, is essential to getting people to understand and use the company's products, which makes the partnership with Kinaata useful to both sides. He also praised the "Susuka" hitmaker for using his music to address social issues and said he was looking forward to attending the concert in December. More than a concert Kinaata thanked MMFL for its support and said the relationship goes beyond money. "It's an honour for me. What excites me is that we are not just doing payments; we are making an impact. The people are willing to listen, and they believe in us," he said, as quoted by The Spectator. He pledged to use his influence to promote financial responsibility, digital literacy and economic empowerment. Speaking to TW Radio Ghana, he described how Made in Taadi has changed. The initiative started as a way to entertain his core fans in the Western and Central regions. The addition of seminars and other activities has given it a broader purpose. He said some attendees have come back to share stories about the people they met, the connections they made and the opportunities they gained through the seminars. "Beyond the entertainment, the people are ready to listen to whatever we have for them. They believe in us," he said. He was also candid about the challenges, including meeting public expectations with limited support for some of the initiatives. That, he said, is why partnerships matter, and he expressed confidence that the MMFL collaboration would benefit people in Takoradi, Cape Coast and across Ghana.
