Hwang Min-hyun Returns With OUR and a Week of Music Shows

Article

Hwang Min-hyun is back on the music-show circuit. The singer and actor released his new digital single OUR at 6pm KST on October 7, 2026, and spent the following days performing it on all four of Korea's major weekly music programmes. It is his first new music in about eight months, following the single "Truth" in February, allkpop reports. The single OUR contains three songs: the title track, "Know You Better" and "Hotline". Across the single, he moves between pop and R&B. The title track is a mid-tempo pop song built on a minimal, guitar-centred arrangement. Its lyrics say that even as time passes and the seasons and daily life change, the feelings two people have for each other stay the same. "It is a song that holds the feeling that even if many things change, the relationship called 'us' will not change and will stay just as it is," he said through his agency, PLEDIS Entertainment. He asked listeners to pay attention to both the beat and the lyrics. Both Chosun Biz and Topstar News note that it is the first time he has toured all the main music shows in a single week since his first mini-album, Truth or Lie , in 2023, a gap of about three years and seven months. "I returned with a new song after eight months. I came to give a great performance to those who waited. I will show a more mature side," he said in his comeback interview on M Countdown , where he also performed a short "OUR" dance challenge. Ahead of the release he shared a music video teaser that previewed the song along with glimpses of his choreography. Chosun Biz says the song's message, combined with his smooth vocal tone, has drawn positive responses from fans around the world. A message to Hwangdo He also addressed his fandom, Hwangdo, directly. "I am happy and excited to be able to meet Hwangdo through music after a long time," he said. "I will work hard so that the music shows and the fan meeting can become good memories that feel like a gift to Hwangdo. Thank you and I love you." Fan meetings in Seoul and across Asia The fan meeting he mentioned is next. His 2026 Hwang Min-hyun Fan Meeting 'Dowon-gyeong' runs at the Woori Bank Hall in COEX Artium, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from October 16 to 18. It then travels to Tokyo on October 21 and 22, Macau on November 7 and Taipei on November 27, for seven shows in total. Dowon-gyeong fan meeting dates October 16–18 – Seoul, Woori Bank Hall, COEX Artium October 21–22 – Tokyo November 7 – Macau November 27 – Taipei Hwang's return comes during a crowded autumn for K-pop . TXT are building towards a November comeback, and IVE, ILLIT and RIIZE all return on October 26. Why the gap mattered Hwang has split his time between music and acting, which is why a full week of music-show stages stands out. Topstar News describes the run as a chance to show a deeper musical colour on stage, and Chosun Biz says fans are curious to see what he brings after a long break from music promotions. On M Countdown , OSEN's report praised a dreamy sound, sweet vocals and restrained, polished movement that suited the song's mood. What's next With his music-show week complete, attention turns to the Seoul fan meetings from October 16 and the overseas dates that follow. PLEDIS has not announced further releases yet.
