Drake has extended his own all-time record on the Billboard Hot 100. His collaboration with Don Toliver, "Solar Eclipse", debuts at No. 5 on the chart dated October 17, 2026, giving the Toronto star his 91st career top 10, the most by any artist in the chart's history. The song is one of four tracks added to the October 2 reissue of Drake's album HABIBTI, which was first released in May. First-week numbers According to Billboard, "Solar Eclipse" opened with 15.1 million official US streams, 712,000 in radio airplay audience and 1,000 downloads sold in its first tracking week. It was the highest of two new entries in this week's top 10. The track interpolates Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas", which holds at No. 2 on the Hot 100 after a record 24 weeks at No. 1. That gives the chart an unusual moment where a song and the hit it borrows from sit just three places apart. Drake's growing lead Drake's tally of 91 top 10s dates back to his first, "Best I Ever Had", in 2009. His lead over the rest of the field is huge. Billboard's list of the most Hot 100 top 10s shows Taylor Swift in second place with 74, followed by Madonna (38), The Beatles (35) and Rihanna (32). Michael Jackson, Elton John, Mariah Carey and Stevie Wonder complete the next tier. Records on the R&B charts too "Solar Eclipse" also debuts at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, Drake's record-extending 33rd leader there, and on Hot R&B Songs, his 10th. Both charts use the same streaming, airplay and sales formula as the Hot 100. A breakthrough for Don Toliver For Don Toliver, the debut is a career milestone. It is his second Hot 100 top 10 and his first as a lead artist. His first came as a featured act on Internet Money and Gunna's "Lemonade", with NAV, which reached No. 6 in November 2020. "Solar Eclipse" also gives him his first No. 1 on both Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot R&B Songs. The Houston singer and rapper has long been known for his melodic hooks and collaborations with Travis Scott's Cactus Jack label. Pairing with Drake has now delivered his biggest chart moment. The HABIBTI story HABIBTI was one of three albums Drake released in May, alongside Iceman and Maid of Honour. The four new songs on its reissue were covered by Entzopedia in our report on the HABIBTI deluxe , and "Solar Eclipse" has quickly emerged as the standout. The new top 10 adds to a strong year for Drake in Canada too. Billboard Canada reports that he will receive his fifth consecutive SOCAN Songwriter of the Year (Performer) award on October 26 in Toronto, and his hit "Janice STFU" became his longest-running No. 1 single of the 2020s. Who else is in the top 10 Taylor Swift's "Patient Zero" spends a second week at No. 1, while ADÉLA earns her first top 10 with "Nicole Kidman" at No. 9. Tame Impala and JENNIE 's "Dracula", Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, Morgan Wallen, Stella Lefty and Karol G round out the region. What 91 top 10s means To put Drake's record in context, his 91 top 10s are more than double Madonna's 38 and well ahead of every other act in the chart's history, including Taylor Swift. He also holds 58 total weeks at No. 1, fourth on the all-time list behind Mariah Carey, Rihanna and The Beatles. Few artists have kept up such a steady run of hits for more than 15 years. What's next With a strong streaming debut, "Solar Eclipse" will now test how well it holds in its second week, especially as radio play builds. Any further growth could challenge for the top spot. For Drake, each new top 10 pushes his record further out of reach, and with the HABIBTI reissue still fresh, more chart moves may follow. Sources: Billboard | Billboard Canada
