Chase & Status have released their new album, Generic Everything . The 10-track record came out on October 9, alongside a new single, "Carnage", featuring Little Simz. The guest list is long: J Hus, Little Simz, Skrillex, Giggs, D Double E, Blanco, IRAH, Col3trane, Debbie, Saam Sultan, Finesse Kid and Ledbyher, according to Wasted Attitude. Breaking out of "the cube" The album is built around resisting conformity. "'Generic Everything' is about resisting the pressure to become the same as everyone else," the duo said. "In a world shaped by AI, algorithms and endless content, creativity is constantly being pushed towards what's familiar, safe and predictable. The cube is our symbol for that pressure; a place where original ideas are squeezed into the same shape," they added. "This album is about pushing back. Every song, visual and show is an attempt to break out of the cube and create something that feels genuinely different." The sound Clash says the album blends their high-energy drum and bass with dubstep, Brazilian baile funk, road rap and more. Wasted Attitude describes it as moving between rave, rap, rock, electronic music and alternative, while staying rooted in the production that defined their career. Clash singles out grime pioneer D Double E among the featured MCs, alongside Giggs and Blanco, and notes the involvement of "iconic producer" Skrillex. "Carnage" with Little Simz "Carnage" brings Chase & Status together with one of the most distinctive voices in British music. Wasted Attitude says the track had been teased at live shows in recent months, ending with a surprise live performance by Little Simz with the duo in Toronto earlier in the week. Little Simz is also up for Best Album at the Urban Music Awards for Lotus, a race led by Dave . Key facts Album: Generic Everything Released: October 9, 2026 Tracks: 10 New single: "Carnage" feat.
