Charlie Puth played his first stadium concert in Korea on Sunday, October 11, 2026, drawing about 38,000 fans to Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province. The show, the Korean stop of his "Whatever's Clever!" world tour, included a surprise duet with TWICE's Nayeon. "I can't help but getting emotional because this is just the first time happening here for us," Puth told the crowd, as quoted by Korea JoongAng Daily. "It has been a long journey to get here, but it really is worth every hour, every minute. Very memorable." His biggest Korea show yet JoongAng Daily says the concert was Puth's ninth show in Korea across five visits since his Korean debut in 2016, and his largest venue and single-night audience in the country. His previous visit, in 2024, drew a combined 50,000 fans over two nights at Gocheok Sky Dome. The Korea Herald says the show opened the Asian leg of the tour and was his first solo concert in Korea in two years, as well as his first stadium show in his 10-year career. The Nayeon duet Puth had teased a surprise. It came during "We Don't Talk Anymore," his 2016 hit originally recorded with Selena Gomez, when Nayeon appeared on stage in a long pink dress, JoongAng Daily reports. She sang Gomez's part, danced lightly with Puth, made an arm heart for the crowd and left after saying "Thank you," according to Maeil Business. Puth called it "such a privilege to share the stage with her," adding that there was "so much talent in South Korea." The Korea Herald says rumours of a TWICE member rehearsing at the venue had circulated earlier that day. Neither JYP Entertainment nor Puth's side has announced a collaboration. A shout-out to Jungkook When "Left and Right," his 2022 collaboration with BTS member Jungkook, began, many fans raised their phones hoping for a cameo. Jungkook did not appear, but Puth said: "I gotta give a special shout-out to Jungkook and all of BTS for helping make that song what it was. It's a real full-circle moment to come and play this in the stadium." Key facts Artist: Charlie Puth Tour: Whatever's Clever! world tour, Asian leg opener Date: Sunday, October 11, 2026 Venue: Goyang Stadium, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province Attendance: about 38,000 Guest: TWICE's Nayeon on "We Don't Talk Anymore" Show: about 90 minutes, 16 songs, no encore (JoongAng Daily) The setlist Puth opened at a white piano with "Beat Yourself Up," from his latest album, then played "How Long," "LA Girls," "Home" and "Cry," JoongAng Daily reports. Three backing vocalists covered featured artists' parts. He let the crowd sing the chorus of "Dangerously," and thousands of phone lights lit up "One Call Away." He closed with "Attention," "See You Again" and "Changes," appearing to tear up during "See You Again." Some fan backlash The Korea Herald reports mixed reactions from parts of TWICE's online fandom. Several fan accounts on X said they would not promote the appearance or any future collaboration, citing Puth's past social media activity, which some interpreted as pro-Israel, and resurfaced 2023 comments about the inspiration for "Attention." Puth has not publicly identified himself as a Zionist, the paper notes. A stadium without the spectacle JoongAng Daily notes that Puth did not rely on backup dancers or extravagant effects, and that the trimmed production was a different approach for a venue where audiences expect larger-than-life shows. He also thanked BTS fans: "If there is any ARMY tonight, thank you guys, really appreciate it." The Korea Herald adds that in a recent JTBC interview, Puth said K-pop had taught him that music can "feel perfect, shined up and pristine but also have an edge to it," and that he had been listening to Cortis, TWICE and Enhypen. What's next The Asian leg continues through October, with stops in Manila, Tokyo, Taoyuan and Hong Kong, before New Zealand and Australia in November, according to The Korea Herald. JoongAng Daily says he plays Pasay, Philippines, on Wednesday and Yokohama, Japan, on Friday. For more touring news, see Pollstar's Q3 report , the Grammys Asian pop debate , and our pop hub.
