Welsh metal band Bullet For My Valentine have announced their eighth studio album, Social Apocalypse, which will be released on March 19, 2027, via Spinefarm. The news arrived with the title track, the band's first new song in four years, and the announcement of their biggest headline tour yet, taking in arenas across the UK and Europe. The announcement was made on October 12, 2026. Electronic rock act Pendulum will appear as very special guests on every date, with Dark Divine opening. "The end of the world as we know it" On the title track, frontman Matt Tuck rages against "the end of the world as we know it", when "all hope has faded". The album as a whole combines introspective lyrics about people worn down by modern life with wider observations about a world that feels as if it is coming off the rails. "Everything in life is changing at such a rapid pace, and it is hard to find a great deal of positivity when you look at events in the world," Tuck said. "People are being pitted against each other. The world is full of conflict instead of unity. As a father, I look at what the world is like for younger people, and how completely different it is now." Producer Carl Bown returns The band worked again with producer Carl Bown, who has now made four Bullet albums and has also worked with Sleep Token, While She Sleeps and Malevolence. Tuck credits him with pushing the band. "Carl doesn't let you settle," he said. "He is always ready to speak up, push and challenge you to be the best version of you." Two rare collaborations The album features two guest vocalists, a rarity for the band. Against The Current singer Chrissy Costanza duets on "In The Absence Of You", while Lorna Shore's Will Ramos appears on "I Don't Trust Tomorrow". The ten-song tracklist runs: "Social Apocalypse", "In The Absence of You" featuring Chrissy Costanza, "I Don't Trust Tomorrow" featuring Will Ramos, "Here Without You", "Acid Rain", "Fragile", "CVLT", "Masquerade", "Read Between The Lines" and "Enough Is Never Enough". Their biggest tour yet Having sold out The O2 in London last year on a co-headline run with Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine are returning to arenas as the sole headliner. The tour opens on January 21, 2027, at Sagres Campo Pequeno in Lisbon and moves through Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Zurich, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Copenhagen and Stockholm in January. February dates include Helsinki, Katowice, Munich, Paris, Luxembourg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam and Brussels. The UK leg closes the run, with shows at Glasgow's OVO Hydro on February 23, Birmingham's bp pulse LIVE on February 25, London's The O2 on February 26 and Manchester's AO Arena on February 27. The scale of the tour comes amid a strong period for live music in Europe, as tracked in our Pollstar touring report and in our coverage of The Weeknd's UK and European tour . A British metal institution Formed in Bridgend, Wales, Bullet For My Valentine broke through in the mid-2000s with their debut album The Poison and the anthem "Tears Don't Fall". They have since become one of Britain's most successful rock and metal exports, with multi-million album sales, billions of streams and regular slots on the world's biggest festival stages. Their label, Spinefarm, is part of Universal Music Group and is home to many of the UK's leading heavy acts. How to get the album A limited white-label first pressing of Social Apocalypse was offered for 72 hours through the band's Ceremony of Roses store. Digital listeners can pre-save the album now, and standard and deluxe vinyl, plus a signed CD, will be available through the band's official website. What's next With the title track out now, fans can expect more singles before the March release, along with ticket news for the arena run. Pairing with Pendulum, a group with a big crossover following, should make the tour one of the heaviest live tickets of early 2027 in Europe. Sources: FRAMEmusic
