BIGBANG have opened the Asia leg of their 20th-anniversary world tour, 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR XX : COSMOS, with three nights at the Taipei Dome from October 9 to 11, 2026. Reports of the attendance differ: allkpop, citing YG Entertainment, puts it at about 100,000 fans, while Taiwan's Central News Agency, reported by Focus Taiwan, says the shows drew 120,000. Back in Taiwan Focus Taiwan reports that Friday's concert was BIGBANG's first performance in Taiwan in 11 years. Allkpop describes it as the group's first solo concert in Taiwan since 2016. The two framings measure slightly different things, but both make the same point: Taiwanese fans had waited about a decade to see the group again. Allkpop reports that all three shows sold out, including extra seats released after the first round of sales. BIGBANG-themed displays appeared across the city, including on a landmark skyscraper, in parks and in subway stations, and fans queued at a nearby pop-up store for merchandise. The setlist G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung opened with "Fantastic Baby", according to Focus Taiwan, followed by songs including "Hands Up", "Tonight", "Blue", "Loser" and "If You". Allkpop also lists "Haru Haru", "Lies" and "BANG BANG BANG". Each member performed a solo set, and the three came down from the stage to greet fans. What the members said During the encore, G-Dragon shouted "I love you" in Chinese and said he was especially happy to perform in Taiwan with Taeyang and Daesung. "Taipei, I'm very grateful to you all!" he said, asking fans to wait for the band's return, according to Focus Taiwan. Daesung thanked fans for standing by the group over 20 years. "I've been so happy these past three days. Taipei, see you next time," he said. Taeyang said the three days had felt like a miracle: "You are the reason we can stand here today." In a statement reported by allkpop, the members said: "We are happy to celebrate BIGBANG's 20th anniversary with V.I.P. We do not take any of this for granted." The tour so far Allkpop reports that XX : COSMOS began in Goyang, South Korea, and has already visited the Americas and Europe, with Taipei as the first Asian stop. The group plays Singapore National Stadium on October 17 and 18, and the full tour spans 39 shows in 19 cities, including Bangkok, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. Focus Taiwan adds that BIGBANG will return to Taiwan for shows at Kaohsiung National Stadium on February 27 and 28, 2027.
